Yet another bomb threat, marking the fourth day and 17th such incident targeting schools in the national capital this week, gripped Richmondd Global School in Delhi's Paschim Vihar on Friday morning.

According to the Delhi Fire Service, emergency personnel including fire department teams and Delhi Police rushed to the school premises immediately after the threat was reported.

Series of threats continue across Delhi

The latest threat follows a disturbing pattern that has unfolded across Delhi this week. On Wednesday morning, five more schools reported receiving threatening emails claiming explosive devices had been planted on their campuses.

According to Delhi Police, the schools targeted included St. Thomas School in Dwarka—receiving threats for the second day in a row—Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmondd Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodi Estate.

All affected schools were evacuated swiftly as a precautionary measure. Multiple teams from the Delhi Fire Service, local police, and bomb disposal squads conducted comprehensive checks. No explosives or suspicious items were found.

A growing list of targets

Authorities revealed that around ten schools and one college in Delhi have received similar threats this week. On Tuesday, St. Thomas School was first targeted alongside St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University. Both institutions were cleared after extensive searches confirmed no threat.

Earlier, on Monday, bomb threats were emailed to three additional schools: Navy School in Chanakyapuri, CRPF School in Dwarka, and another in Rohini. In each case, bomb squads and emergency services conducted exhaustive sweeps and later declared the threats to be hoaxes.
