More than 170 million viewers logged in to JioHotstar during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, making it the highest-ever reach for a Test series on digital platforms. The five-Test contest between India and England recorded 65 billion minutes of watch time on the platform.
The series reached a dramatic conclusion at The Oval, where the fifth day of the final Test drew a peak concurrency of 13 million viewers on JioHotstar, the highest ever for a Test match streamed online.
The matches marked the start of India’s campaign in the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle and featured new leadership and renewed ambitions in red-ball cricket. Coverage was available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
“The extraordinary response to India’s tour of England reinforced Test cricket’s ability to forge compelling narratives in almost every session of every match. Reaching over 170 million viewers and setting new concurrency records is a testament not just to the thrilling cricket, but also to our commitment to delivering an immersive storytelling and viewing experience,” said Siddharth Sharma, Head of Content, Sports, JioStar.
Fans also engaged with ‘Follow The Blues,’ a behind-the-scenes series showcasing training sessions and match narratives, along with a special segment titled When India Challenged the Crown, which revisited India’s Test legacy in England.
JioStar will now focus on coverage of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup India 2025, scheduled to begin on September 30.
