Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed expedited implementation of the 'Mukhyamantri Krishak Samridhi Yojana' to enhance credit access for small farmers. During a Cooperative Department review, he mandated modernization of 5,686 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and recruitment through IBPS to improve service quality.
The state's cooperative banks reported record ₹23,061 crore loan disbursement in 2025, a 151% increase from 2017. Storage infrastructure is being expanded with 100 new warehouses under RKVY and 24 large facilities (500-1000 MT capacity) across 16 districts. The CM emphasized private sector participation in storage projects and timely MSP payments to rice millers.
Digital transformation progresses with 1,539 M-PACS computerized in Phase I, and all cooperative banks migrating to NABARD's cloud platform for secure transactions. The initiatives aim to strengthen the cooperative ecosystem ahead of the new farmer welfare scheme's.
