IPO-bound logistics platform Shiprocket has unveiled Shunya.ai, an agentic AI stack to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and D2C business by facilitating multilingual commerce.
Notably, Shiprocket has launched Shunya.ai as a joint venture with Ultrasafe Enterprise, the company said in a statement.
The AI-platform offers text, image and voice intelligence in more than nine Indian languages. Shunya.ai is built and trained entirely in India, the statement added.
Shunya.ai has entered into a strategic partnership with L&T- Cloudfiniti. This collaboration integrates L&T-Cloudfiniti’s GPU-powered infrastructure to handle high performance AI workloads, ensuring all data remains stored within Indian borders.
“This is not just Al made in India, it’s Al made for India,” said Saahil Goel, managing director and chief executive officer at Shiprocket.
“We’ve adapted Shunya.ai from the ground up for Indian languages, commerce workflows, and MSME needs. By embedding it directly into our platform, we’re giving over 1.5 Lakh sellers instant access to tools that are intelligent, local, and scalable, leveling the playing field for businesses across Bharat,” he added.
How Will Shunya.ai Help Businesses?Shunya.ai is an agentic AI infrastructure which will cater to MSMEs and D2C brands by offering multilingual commerce, regional customer experience and scalable automation.
Starting at a monthly subscription fee of INR 499, Shunya.ai will be embedded into Shiprocket’s seller panel. It will facilitate the following offerings –
- Bilingual product listing and creatives for advertisement
- GST- compliant invoice generation
- WhatsApp voice-to-order automation
- Image-to-alt-text search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Festival and regional sale recommendations
Shiprocket claims that the early pilot of the product has shown 30-40% time savings in content and catalogue generation for MSMEs.
Shunya.ai aims to reach more than 1 Lakh MSMEs within the first year of its inception, by focusing on time and cost saving in operations like cataloguing, marketing, fulfilment, and customer engagement workflows.
The Shunya.ai VisionSpeaking to Inc42, Goel said that global AI models get better as users use them.
However, India not having its own large language model (LLM) is a drawback as then everyone is using one software, he added.
“The whole tonality of voice or the way you write or slang in a regional language, I don’t think the global models get it because they are not trained specifically in India,” Goel added.
The company identified this gap and built Shunya.ai to address the challenges faced by Indian businesses on the front of diversity. Shiprocket, in partnership with Ultrasafe, started developing Shunya.ai nine months ago, with the help of open data sets.
