The has cast its three main child stars who are set to become "overnight millionaires", according to reports. Warner Bros are set to head the productions, but it's not yet known who will be playing the main characters of Harry, Ron and Hermione.
The series is due to go into production later this year, with a 2027 release date on the cards. It will be based on the iconic franchise that were originally published between 1997 and 2007. Some big names have already been announced to be taking part in the new spin-off series such as Albus Dumbledore being played by John Lithgow and Hagrid being played by Nick Frost. Janet McTeer has been cast as Minerva McGonagall, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch and Paapa Essiedu has been cast as potions master Severus Snape.

The actors who are going to play Ron, Hermione and Harry have not yet been revealed but it has been reported that they are all currently 11-years-old and British. It's also thought that the child trio will become millionaires from the huge job.
This would be the same as Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, who starred in all eight Harry Potter films after being cast age 11 and are all now multi millionaires. Emma now has an estimated net worth of more than £60million as Rupert has a reported fortune of between £35m and £50m.
Meanwhile main star Daniel now has an estimated net worth of between £80m and £100m. A finance expert told the reported that athem that because of inflation since the Harry Potter films were first made in the early 2000s the three new actors will likely earn even more than the originals.
Martin Cobb said: "There’s absolutely no reason to suppose [the new actors] won’t easily exceed the incomes of the three original stars." Daniel, Emma and Rupert are said to not be making their own appearances in the new series.
