TV host Roman Kemp has opened up about his less-than-pleasant culinary experience on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, where he was served a fish pie by chef Simon Rimmer.
While chewing the fat with singer Tom Grennan, 30, on their podcast Introducing About...You!, the comfort food chat led Roman, 32, to confess that the most disappointing pie he's ever tasted was one dished out by Simon during the programme – describing it as the 'worst bit of fish pie' he had ever encountered.
He explained how despite his affection for both Simon and co-host Tim Lovejoy, eating fish pie at the crack of dawn had put him off, saying: "The only reason why is that, Sunday Brunch, you're there for hours, so long. You're there for long. Love Tim, love Simon, but it's a long show and it's early."

Kemp revealed that when pressed for his thoughts on the dish while still reeling from the early hour, he candidly remarked, "It was 8am and I'm trying to stomach this fish pie and they came over and they said 'What do you think?' I hate this, I said, 'I didn't like it'."
Roman's startling admission comes after viewers heaped praise on a new change in Sunday Brunch's presenting team.
While usually the dynamic duo of Simon and Tim Lovejoysteer the ship, the latter has recently taken a brief hiatus, ushering in TV favourite Vicky Pattison to fill his shoes.
Announcing her stint on the show, an excited Vicky shared on Instagram: "I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS! ! ! !".
The much-loved presenter shared: "As a long time friend of @sundaybrunchc4 it is an absolute HONOUR to be wearing a slightly different hat this week! I will be joining my good pal @rimmersimon as his co-host while the lovely @timlovejoy_official has a very well deserved break! ! !".
She couldn't hide her enthusiasm, as she continued: "I am buzzing like an old fridge to chat to all of our gorgeous guests, eat some delicious food and hopefully give anyone watching and nursing a hangover a bit of light comedy reprieve."
Viewers were overjoyed by the news of Vicky stepping in on Sunday Brunch. One fan expressed: "Joke about Vicki all you want, but its good to have some feminine energy co-presenting and female POV on the sofa while chatting with the guests."

Another viewer was quick to add: "What a breath of fresh air @VickyPattison is #SundayBrunch," and another praised the change, commenting: "I honestly don't think Tim should go, but having Vicki is a nice change from two bald blokes being blokey and exciting only really by any footie talk #sundaybrunch."
Fans can catch the new dynamic duo when Sunday Brunchhits the screens again today (Sunday, June 29) at 10am on Channel 4.
