The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the commencement of online applications for the University Grants Commission (UGC)-NET for December 2025. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in until November 7, 2025. A correction window for applications will be available from November 10 to 12, 2025. The schedule for the examination will be provided at a later date.
The UGC-NET is essential for assessing the eligibility of Indian citizens for (i) the Junior Research Fellowship and the role of Assistant Professor, (ii) appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission into Ph.D. programs, and (iii) admission to Ph.D. programs only in Indian universities and colleges.
