90s boy band star unrecognisable in normal job after band reunites without him

During the 1990s, Another Level was among the many pop groups to dominate the UK charts with hits such as Bomb Diggy, Be Alone No More, and From the Heart. Together, Bobak Kianoush, Dane Bowers, Wayne Williams, and Mark Baron achieved seven top 10 singles before breaking up in 2000.

In the years since, Dane has been widely regarded as the band's most popular member due to his highly publicised moves after leaving the group. This includes a successful solo career, which saw his single Out of Your Mind, featuring Victoria Beckham, land at number two on the charts and have three other top 10s. Along with having a high-profile two-year relationship with Katie Price during the 1990s and early 2000s, Dane had regular stints in the spotlight.

He was among the star-studded lineup to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2010, where he finished in second place to Katie Price's ex-husband Alex Reid.

Dane also participated in ITV's Big Reunion documentary despite the other band members declining. Wayne said he was at a different stage in his life. Mark, who is married to The Apprentice star Lord Sugar's daughter, felt his work commitments for his father-in-law prevented him from participating, and Bobak was heavily engaged with other projects.

However, Boback, best known for his closely shaved appearance, looked completely unrecognisable when he returned to the Kisstory festival stage in 2021.

Instead of his familiar looks, the 46-year-old debuted dark hair and heavy stubble, hiding his signature dimples.

However, his stage return was seemingly a one-off as the other members of Another Level reunited earlier this year without him or Wayne.

This seemingly ruffled feathers as the former singer hit back after he found out two new members had joined the band and he hadn't been consulted over the reunion.

"They didn't have the courtesy to consult me, so it's made me speaking out about this inevitable," Boback told MailOnline.

"I'm not trying to create any animosity but it's the fans that are important in this and it's not sitting right with them. They're telling me the band have been editing me out of videos and deleting their comments asking where I am."

Since turning his back on music, Boback has become a brand manager and head of marketing for luxury computer hardware manufacturer OrigenAE.

He also attended Queen Mary's University of London to study law and ventured into property development, taking on a 17-acre luxury real estate project that emphasises sustainable systems. He's also a doting dad of two, frequently sharing snaps of his young children on Instagram.
