Devotees of HBO's Big Little Lies should look out for a fresh series landing on iPlayer.
Adapted from the 2005 novel by Australian author Liane Moriarty, this gripping series promises to be as captivating as the Emmy-awarded Big Little Lies.
The plot revolves around the unsolved mystery of the Munro family's disappearance, last seen alive on an island. The Last Anniversary is set into motion when a woman with a turbulent love life inherits a house on the island and becomes resolute in uncovering the fate of the Munros.
In her quest for truth, she crosses paths with the island's residents, each harbouring their own clandestine secrets.
The Last Anniversary boasts a stellar female-led cast including A Discovery of Witches actress Teresa Palmer, esteemed British star Miranda Richardson, Danielle Macdonald of The Tourist fame, Helen Thomson, Susan Prior and Claude Scott-Mitchell, reports .
Other cast members feature Charlie Garber, Uli Latukefu, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Angela Punch McGregor, Samuel, Leon Ford and Ines English.
Hollywood luminary and Big Little Lies actress Nicole Kidman serves as an executive producer on The Last Anniversary, promising viewers a riveting journey.
Interestingly, Moriarty insisted that The Last Anniversary be filmed in Australia, staying true to the book's setting, unlike Big Little Lies which was relocated from Sydney to California.
The six-episode drama, The Last Anniversary, which premiered in April in its home nation Australia and on AMC in the USA, is finally making its way to UK viewers as a complete boxset on BBC iPlayer.

Audiences have shared their thoughts, with the series receiving an 88 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. A fan praised on Rotten Tomatoes: "Excellent show. Im really enjoying it [sic]."
Meanwhile, another viewer was moved by the series, stating: "Sitting here absolutely crying my eyes out because this show is a masterpiece."
Over on Google, one commenter didn't need to read the book to appreciate the show: "I did not read the book. I loved the storytelling and the characters."
Another viewer expressed enthusiasm for the drama's twists: "I loved that there was twisty drama. Just what I needed. I found it compelling and engaging."
Discussing the cast on Google, a fourth individual mentioned: "Nicole K. may have backed a winner here. The 'star power' draw for me is Miranda Richardson and Teresa Palmer, I can't see any of the others setting the grass alight."
They also highlighted past roles of the actresses: "Miranda in many shows but 'A Dance to the Music of Time' is close to the top and, besides being an Adelaide Hills local, Teresa's turn in 'A Discovery of Witches' was a winner [sic]."
Furthermore, another added praise for the series: "I loved this short series! Watched the whole thing in one day! Great show for mothers and daughters!"
The Last Anniversary is streaming on the BBC iPlayer now
