Carlos Alcaraz partied at an exclusive private members' club in New York after beating Jannik Sinner in the US Open final. The young Spaniard overpowered his Italian rival in four sets, playing some of his best tennis to win his sixth major title. It was their third meeting in as many Grand Slam finals, having faced each other at the French Open and Wimbledon earlier this year.
Alcaraz made a fast start to the match, racing into the lead by winning the first set in just over 20 minutes. Sinner fought back to level proceedings in the second set but was unable to prevent his rival from turning on the style. It was one-way traffic for the rest of the contest, with the 22-year-old hitting his stride to claim a 6-2 3-6 6-1 6-4 victory.
After conducting his media duties following the match, Alcaraz returned to the locker room to celebrate with his team. He was drenched in champagne with members of his close circle ambushing him as he walked through the doors.
The party went long into the night with Alcaraz later visiting Chez Margaux, a private club in New York which is frequented by high-profile celebrities such as Taylor Swift.
Alcaraz had to spend a huge amount of money just to walk through the doors of the exclusive venue. Membership costs £2,200 per year with an additional joining fee of £1,480 for those under the age of 30, if their application is approved.
The menu is overseen by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who shared a picture with Alcaraz on social media as he offered his congratulations to the Spaniard.
Alcaraz was also seen partying the night away with models including Brianna Bardhi and Tika Camaj. His appearance coincided with the afterparty for the VMA Awards, which also took place in New York on Sunday night.
It saw a host of other celebrities, such as Jamie Foxx and Cardi B, flock to the private club as well.
The previous night, Aryna Sabalenka visited the establishment to celebrate her victory over Amanda Anisimova in the US Open women's final.
Chez Margaux claims to be inspired by the elegance of Paris in addition to the nightlife culture in London. It features a main dining room, which prides itself on French cuisine, as well as a Japanese-inspired lounge for casual dining.
The venue also boasts a caviar and cocktail bar which transforms into a nightclub after dark. This is where Alcaraz appeared to spend his evening as he revelled in the celebrations after his latest Grand Slam achievement.
