Both Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been removed from ITV this week as part of a scheduling change. On Monday night, both soaps left fans on tenterhooks with gripping episodes. In Emmerdale, Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller) finally realised what his evil husband John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) had done, with the killer ultimately admitting to murdering Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter).
The drama heated up when John's brother Robert (Ryan Hawley), turned up, just before the twisted killer hurled himself and Aaron off a cliff. Over on Coronation Street, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) was left astonished when her ex Becky (Amy Cudden) returned from the dead as part of a major new storyline.
But fans will have to wait a little while to find out what will happen on both soaps.
Emmerdale, which usually airs on weekday evenings, won't be shown tonight (Tuesday, September 9).
This is due to the FIFA World Cup qualifier match between England and Serbia, which is being shown on ITV.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm, with coverage running from 7pm to 10pm. The News at Ten on ITV will follow until 10.35pm.
Emmerdale will return to screens the following day, but Coronation Street will not follow afterwards as usual.
Instead of Coronation Street airing tomorrow night, the National Television Awards will be shown from 8pm until 10.30pm. Coronation Street is returning to screens on Friday, September 12.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX.
Meanwhile, Coronation Street airs at 8pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX.
