Rory McIlroy had the perfect response for a fan who asked him where his green jacket was from Augusta. In a seminal career moment, the Northern Irishman completed the career Grand Slam he craved after beating Justin Rose in a dramatic play-off.
He's struggled for form since, although he impressed at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush this month. The 36-year-old finished tied for seventh at 10-under par, although he was seven shots behind eventual winner Scottie Scheffler. He'll now turn his focus to the Ryder Cup in Bethpage in September, where Team Europe are seeking a first win on US soil since 2011.
However, it seems he's intent on enjoying some downtime first. Following the Open, McIlroy travelled to Saint-Tropez in France, and seemingly partied hard.
And he didn't seem worried about the location of the famous jacket he inherited at the Masters. While dancing at a party, he was approached by a fan who flashed a phone in his direction.
The screen read "Where's the green jacket?" The man also shouted the same question, and McIlroy, drink in hand, then approached him with a smile on his face.
He pointed as he fired back "It's on the yacht!" McIlroy, with his cap on back to front, jigged as he spoke and then turned away to enjoy the dancefloor with friends.
The humorous incident follows McIlroy's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. There, he rejoiced at fulfilling a previous promise to the famous American host.
"I told you I wouldn't come back until I had this green jacket," he said. "So I'm glad I made it back. "It took me a while, but I got there."
