A cook has shown how she makes her most delicious salmon, and it only involves a few steps. Salmon is popular for a number of reasons, but mainly for its unique taste and its great health benefits. To cook salmon, most people opt for baking it, but there are other ways to cook it, such as steaming it and pan-frying it. But if you decide to cook it in the oven, there is one method you should consider using that gives it an amazing taste.

A TikTok creator who posts under the username @majasrecipes shared her recipe for hot honey-glazed salmon, which is made in only a few steps. Giving viewers a step-by-step guide, she describes it as "the tastiest weeknight meal ever" that is "bound to become a weekly staple." The secret to great-tasting salmon is not only how you cook it but also what ingredients you add to it to perfectly complement its already unique and strong flavour. This TikTok user incorporates a number of ingredients to elevate this dish.

To create her sauce, which she uses to cook the salmon, she mixes butter, honey, chilli flakes, soy sauce and lemon juice. She combines these in a pan over a medium heat before she adds a cornstarch and water mixture to thicken it up.

If you do this, she says, you will have made a "perfectly sweet and spicy hot honey sauce". She then takes her salmon, which is placed in fillets on a baking sheet, and generously coats them with salt and pepper.

She brushes them with oil and bakes them in the oven at just above 200C for 15 minutes. Then, she takes the fish out of the oven and covers each piece with the hot honey sauce she had made, placing them back in the oven for just five more minutes to cook in the sauce.

"This is the tastiest and easiest way to eat salmon, and one of my favourite 20-minute meals," she said. Her video left quite an impression on other TikTok users.

Hundreds commented on the video to ask for the exact recipe, while more than 70,000 people saved it. There are many ways to flavour salmon, depending on how you are cooking it.

Some opt for cumin as the much-needed spice to add to a fillet of this fish. Meanwhile, other people keep it simple with just some salt and pepper.
