Sunday Brunch turned emotional as a regular guest of the show and cheese shop owner Morgan McGlynn Carr shared an update with fans following her breast cancer diagnosis.
On the show that aired on Sunday (July 13), Morgan told hosts Simon Rimmer, Tim Lovejoy and their panel of celebrity guests, that she had now "got the all clear".
As the words left her mouth she immediately began to cry and she struggled to fight back tears, in front of guests that included Conan Gray (singer), Sam Palladio (actor), Adam Kay (British TV writer), Laura Checkley (comedian), Aggy K Adams (actress) and Amy Macdonald (singer).
Through tears she said: "As some of you know and some of you don't, I'm already wobbling, I am sorry." Tim reached out to give her a warm hug as continued: "I got diagnosed with breast cancer last October, so we got the all clear, like a week ago."
The studio erupted into a round-of-applause, as Morgan interjected: "I was just going to say, check your lumps, your bumps and trust your gut and yeah, that's it really."
Tim commented that Morgan had a "really supportive friendship group," as she began to well once more, telling him: "Yes, I've been taken on surprise trips and I've had the biggest support system including you guys as well."
The cheese expert started to say: "The love and support that I've felt," as she began to cry, turning to the celebrity panel to tell them: "I'm honestly not normally like this."
"It's a big thing to go through," comforted host Tim.
Morgan, who is a frequent on the show only recently shared with her Instagram followers that she'd secretly been battling the "earth-shattering" disease.
The cheesemonger shared a picture of herself from a hospital bed and included the caption: "In October 2024, I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. It was nothing short of earth-shattering. But we've done our best to keep it as normal as possible for our daughter."
She has been part of the Sunday brunch team since 2016 and married Ben Carr just three years ago. Updating on what life had looked like for her recently, while battling the cancer, Morgan bravely shared her journey: "Treatment is different for every person.
"No two paths are the same. But here's what happened to me. I was given a week before chemo to get my ducks in a row, which included chopping my hair off and IVF and egg retrieval, something I'm incredibly grateful I was able to do.
"Then came six months of weekly chemotherapy. The hardest thing I've ever done. Some weeks I sat for 13 hours at a time, thanks to my friends who kept me company. And for those who've been through the cold cap, you'll know it's no joke.
"I had to catch my breath and get through the hardest parts before sharing this," she admitted. She confessed that she had been totally unaware of cancer symptoms before receiving her diagnosis.
Wanting to help others, she made the difficult decision to share her health battle with fans in hope that she could help anyone going through similar.
Morgan urged: "If even one person sees this and it prompts them to check a lump or get a second opinion, it could save a life. Please trust your gut."
Sunday Brunch airs every Sunday on Channel 4 from 10am.
