Ukraine struck a major defence sector accord with Germany during 's trip to the European nation on Wednesday. During a joint press conference with the wartime leader, announced his nation will finance Ukrainian-made long-range missiles. He said: "We will be financing a considerable amount of Starlinks and our defence ministries will be signing a memorandum on long-range missiles. No restrictions on range so Ukraine can defend itself beyond its borders."
While 's accord is likely going to be a huge sigh of relief for Ukraine, which continues to fight against invading Russian troops, Mr Zelensky also issued a warning to the Western military alliance during the poignant press conference. Speaking about the upcoming NATO summit, Mr Zelensky said that for Kyiv not to be extended an invitation would mean a victory for Vladimir Putin. He explained that while NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte told him on Tuesday he wanted Ukraine to attend, it was not yet clear Kyiv would be invited.
