Amazon Prime Day: Best early tech deals include Apple, Fitbit and more

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon's biggest sale event of the year and one of the best times to be on the lookout for significant savings on the latest technology. Hundreds if not thousands of tech items will see prices plunge during the multi-day sale, which is running longer than ever in 2025.

This year, Amazon Prime Day will last four whole days from Tuesday July 8 to Friday July 11. That means you can expect different deals spread out over the week, and could potentially see prices change and become lower on certain products as the week goes on.

New for 2025, Amazon is introducing "Today's Big Deals", with technology being one of the main categories, plus a limited-time "New Deal Drop", if you can be bothered to stay up till midnight to see which items have been newly discounted.

Prime Day sales and the special prices are only available to Amazon Prime subscribers. If you aren't signed up, you can claim a free 30-day trial, which if you start today will cover you for all of the next Prime Day event.

Amazon Prime Day is an annual Amazon sale that has run in the UK every year since July 2015. It was originally launched as a one day discount event to celebrate Amazon's 20th birthday, but has since morphed into a several-days-long sale.

Items from all corners of Amazon are discounted, but it's a particularly good sale if you are after technology or a new gadget. Phones, tablets, smartwatches, fitness trackers, earbuds, headphones, air fryers and everything in between will see prices slashed.

You can only access special deal prices during Prime Day if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber. This costs £8.99 per month but you can also sign up to a free 30-day Prime trial to get Prime at no cost, getting you in on the action. You can cancel your subscription, or pay £8.99 from the second month.

For the first time in the UK, Prime Day will last four days. Amazon confusingly refuses to call it Prime Days.

Prime Day 2025 will run from Tuesday July 8 to Friday July 11 inclusive.
