Prayagraj: A 16-year-old class 10 student sustained serious injuries after he was allegedly assaulted by two senior students near Manda Road on Monday.
Upon being alerted, senior police officials rushed to the spot and admitted the injured student to Koraon CHC from where doctors referred him to SRN Hospital. The motive behind the attack was still unknown as the family claimed they had no enmity with anyone.
A senior officer said the initial investigation revealed that the victim was attacked by his seniors with the help of a stencil-like weapon.
"Police are scanning CCTV footage to ascertain the identities of the miscreants," he said.
