A Red Sox fan even pointed out that Devers should be shown the exit door-

“Trade him.”

“If you not willing to help out the team get players that are!”

“Not willing? Don’t pay him!”

“Imagine having your franchise player be the worst 3B in the league and still be unwilling to change positions.”

“Hate to say this but maybe it’s time to get rid of Devers….he doesn’t seem to be a team first player or willing to do whatever it takes to make his team better….by by Devers.”

As reported by the MLB .com, Rafael Devers addressed the buzz around filling the void for Triston Casas. He said via team interpreter Daveson Perez-

"They had the conversation with me. I don't think, for me personally, it's the best decision after they asked me to play a different position. And I only had two months playing this position to all of a sudden have me try to play another position. So, from my end, it doesn't seem like a good decision."

Reportedly, Boston Red Sox’ first baseman Triston Casas was forced to take the exit door after he went on to rupture the patellar tendon of his left knee recently. Looking at the severity of the situation, he would have to undergo a surgery.
