Jimmy Butler has confirmed he is still dealing with the effects of a pelvis injury, raising concerns for the Golden State Warriors as they fight to stay alive in their playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The injury, sustained during the first-round matchup against the Houston Rockets, forced Butler out of Game 2 early and caused him to miss Game 3 entirely. Though he returned for Game 4, his performance has been visibly impacted.

Jimmy Butler admits he isn’t fully recovered

When asked if he was still feeling the aftereffects of the injury, Jimmy Butler didn’t hold back. "For sure," he said. "But believe it or not, dominos, coffee, and kids make it all better."

Despite the setback, Butler has maintained solid numbers since his return, averaging 19.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game while shooting 42.4% from the field. However, with Stephen Curry sidelined due to a hamstring strain, the Warriors need more from their star forward to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Golden State Warriors face an uphill battle without Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry’s absence has placed additional pressure on Jimmy Butler and the rest of the roster. The guard is expected to miss at least through Game 4, leaving Golden State in a precarious position. After a blowout loss in Game 2 against the Timberwolves, the Warriors must regroup quickly.

Game 3 tips off on Saturday, May 10, at 8:30 p.m. ET. If Jimmy Butler can’t elevate his game, the Warriors’ season could be on the line.
