What should have been a joyful wedding celebration in Jhansi turned into a scene of chaos and embarrassment after a dispute over a cooler led to a violent scuffle between members of the bride’s and groom’s families.
A video of the incident, widely shared on social media, shows people inside a decorated wedding pandal throwing plastic chairs and utensils at each other as guests scrambled to avoid getting hit. Women can also be seen participating.
According to social media posts, the fight began when a few men from the groom’s side sat directly in front of a cooler that was placed near the stage, reportedly meant for the bride and groom.
When members from the bride’s family objected and asked them to shift, the guests took offence. Heated words were exchanged, and the situation escalated quickly. Local youths from the area, said to be siding with the groom’s family, entered the venue and allegedly joined in the brawl.
