Around 200-250 A-listers from show business, politics and finance are expected to attend the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with journalist Lauren Sanchez . The wedding, which is estimated to cost around $50 million, will be held on Saturday in the Italian city of Venice.

The wedding of Bezos, one of the richest individuals in the world, and Sanchez, has divided Venice, with some activists protesting it as an "exploitation" of the city by the billionaire while ordinary residents suffer from over-tourism, high housing costs and the constant threat of climate-induced flooding.
A protest by a group called Extinction Rebellion in the city's St. Mark's Square featured a masked bride and groom - impersonating Bezos and Sanchez - and people holding posters decrying climate change and income inequalities.
However, Luca Zaia, the governor of Veneto region of which Venice is the capital, has strongly defended the wedding, saying it would be an "economic and reputational boon" for the city known for its waterways.
